Just a regular girl trying to make her way in the great wide world.
OK... that's a good summation. Here's a little more detail.
I've always been a writer. In fact, long lost cousins who just re-entered my life via Facebook all say the same thing... "I remember your stories! You were the best storyteller!" Funny thing is, I don't remember ever telling stories, just writing them down in journals.
Anyway, time moves on and I used my writing to become a senior producer for a TV news station (NBC affiliate) in Maine. It was great. I loved my job. And I LOVED Maine.
But, then opportunity came knocking and I moved half-way around the world to help launch professional baseball in Israel. After a relatively successful first season, I decided to stay in the Holy Land.
Suprisingly, news gigs aren't so prevalent here (right, how crazy is that? This area is just *bursting* with news!) so I had to make a career change.
What *is* in abundance here are high tech jobs. Loads of start-ups, established companies and just general computer dorks wandering around the middle east. I managed to snag a job at a great start-up dealing with video commerce and here I am spending days, nights, weekends and holidays in front of the computer....
What happened to the days of pool tables and fuseball parties at start-ups?? Maybe that's why the bubble went burst the first time.
Super happy to be a part of the Hub community and hope to be a valuable asset to my friends and neighbors....
